There are still blue waves in fashion this fall, but shades go darker all the way to midnight blue. Darker blue transmits a sense of peacefulness and elegance whereas a lighter blue signals innocence and hope. Cobalt blue on the other hand is bold, happy and combinable with any colour, as above example styling cobalt blue with yellow!
The colour blue is a popular theme also in music as a way to describe melancolic feelings as in Elvis’s Blue Christmas. It can also create a feeling of peace and hope as in Ted Gärdestad’s Himlen är oskyldigt blå. Or combining the two like in the legendary song Blue Moon.
Blue is the colour of loyalty and trust and therefore many companies chose to have their logo in blue. Up north we associate blue with summer – blue skies and blue sea. It ’s also said to be the most popular colour in the world.
